How to Handle Corporate Housing Move-In Mishaps

Posted on Tuesday, September 27, 2016

We want your corporate housing stay to be a seamless transition so you can get started on the things you need to do right away. Our apartments come fully equipped and ready for move-in, and our expectation is that you should be able to move in without issue. Unexpected issues can pop up even with the best corporate housing partner, but an experienced leasing agent will correct any problem swiftly.

If you're planning a trip to the DC Metro area for 30 days or more, check out our furnished temporary apartments to find the ideal place in the neighborhood that suits your needs.

1. Furniture

Our apartments are furnished so that you can move right in and have everything you need.  If you arrive and your furniture is damaged or missing, contact your leasing agent or provider right away. Chances are your agent will already know about the issue and be in contact with the appropriate person to fix the problem.  Your agent will work with you to ensure the correct furniture arrives in a timely manner or make sure that you have comparable accommodations.

2. Cable & Internet

If you have cable and internet services set up in your agreement, they should be ready when you move in. Because these services are set up by a third party, the timing can be off despite even the best planning. An experienced leasing agent will be ready and willing to help if this isn’t the case.

3. Maintenance

Another unexpected issue that could arise is with the unit itself. Some common problems include the toilet not working properly,  air-conditioning or heating malfunction, or refrigerator issues. Your unit should be walked by agent beforehand, but sometimes things happen. Contact your leasing agent immediately if you see any of these issues.

Your happiness is important to us. We pride ourselves in outstanding customer service and unparalleled amenities. We want your transition to corporate housing to be as smooth as possible. Unexpected issues might crop up, but an experienced leasing agent who knows the ropes will be able to get you taken care of.
