Bethesda-based Marriott International has added more than 1,000 upscale furnished apartments to its Marriott ExecuStay unit.
The deal is with Chicago-based AMLI Residential, which owns, manages and develops high end apartment communities.
Marriott ExecuStay, which specializes in furnished apartments and temporary housing, will be the corporate housing provider of choice for short-term rentals for AMLI Residential.
The partnership raises Marriott ExecuStay's turn-key furnished apartment service to a total of 5,500 apartments.
"This arrangement eliminates the need for a six-month or year-long lease," said Steve Hallsey, president and CEO of AMLI Management.
"This is a win-win relationship for everyone," said Adam Sherer, Marriott ExecuStay vice president. "For ExecuStay we have even more apartments to offer our customers needing upscale residential lodging through AMLI's first-class portfolio.”
ExecuStay handles all of the arrangements at an AMLI Residential community setting up a furnished apartment within two business including amenities like free Wi-Fi.
