In Washington, many members of the Obama auto team lived in corporate housing within walking distance of the Treasury Department. Two of the younger members bunked in the same apartment. Wilson slept on an air mattress for weeks until a bed arrived. He had a blender for protein shakes in his apartment and a lamp that he never unpacked.
